Mission

The JBRay Digital Humanities Project preserves, studies, and presents sources relating to the life, works, institutions, and legacy of Kaviraj Jamini Bhushan Ray.

Four connected workstreams

Wikipedia scholarship, the JBRay.org museum portal, the JBRay Digital Library, and the open-source Digitisation Framework reinforce one another while serving distinct purposes.

Editorial principle

The archive should make the source visible, the transcription readable, the provenance clear, and the editorial intervention transparent.

Future work

Future plans include scholarly digital editions of Ray's works, an e-book on his life and legacy, and packaging the open-source digitisation framework for museums, libraries, archives, and historical societies.
